QPI California Statewide Quarterly Meeting

The caregiver’s perspective is vital to effective case planning throughout a child’s time in care, so resource parents are expected to participate in Child & Family Team (CFT) meetings. A recent survey of California resource parents found that while those who participated in CFTs felt that their voice had an impact, they were not always at the table. At this Quarterly Statewide Meeting we will review relevant policies, hear from resource parents about their experiences participating in case planning, and have a conversation about solutions to ensure meaningful engagement of resource parents in case planning for every child.
